Is breakfast included?
Yes, a deluxe continental breakfast is served for guests from 7:30-10 am daily.
How far away is Tahquamenon Falls State Park?
It's about an hour to Tahquamenon Falls State Park.
Is the Inn open year-around?
Yes, the Lake Effect Inn is open all year.
How far is Pictured Rocks/Munising?
It's about an hour to Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore.
Are all the rooms upstairs?
Yes, all rooms are located on the second floor.
Does every room have a private bathroom?
Two rooms (Lake and Aurora) have a private bathroom. Rock, Winter and Waterfall rooms share a large bathroom.
Do all the rooms have a lake view?
The Waterfall and Lake Rooms have a view of South Manisique Lake.
Is Benny the Troll nearby?
Yes! Benny is located at Northland Outfitters and is only about 20 mintues away.
Are there ATV rentals and trails nearby?
Yes, Fish & Hunt Shop in Curtis rents ATV's and snowmobiles. You can ride from the Inn.
How far is the Erickson Center for the Arts/Pine Performance Center?
Just a couple of blocks away! Come to Curtis to enjoy the performing arts!
Can I rent the entire Inn?
Yes, the Inn is available for private rental or rent the guest lounge for meetings and small gatherings.
Does every room have air conditioning?
Yes, each room is climate controlled with A/C and heat.
Is the Inn located on Big Mansitique Lake?
The Inn is across the street from Big Manisitique Lake. There are several public access sites withing walking distance.
What is there to do in the winter?
Curtis is close to many winter activies including dog sledding, Eben ice caves, Tahquamenon Falls State Park and Kitich-ta-kipi--all of which are open in the winter.
Are there restaurants within walking distance?
Yes, the Tally Ho BBQ, Shipwreck Restaurant and JP Pizza are all just a couple bocks away.
